Objective research and studies

Diamond Mowers has assembled non-biased studies to demonstrate the value of the Wet Blade system, and to illustrate how the Wet Blade mow and treat system reduces operator chemical exposure.

Virginia Tech Studies

Virginia Techs'
Dr. Shawn Askew has performed independent studies of the of the Wet Blade system. In the article titled: Weed Control and Management of Turfgrass Lawns with Wet Blade Technology
. "Wet Blade (WB) Technology directs chemical to the cut portion of the leaf surface during mowing. This dual action of mowing and applying product eliminates the need for separate chemical application. Applying chemical to the cut portion of the leaf allows the product to move directly into the plant via xylem and phloem tissue. This action also limits the likelihood of herbicide movement from spray drift"

Virginia Tech
also released the article titled: Crabgrass Control In Cool-Season Turf With The Wet Blade System."The Wet Blade system (WBS) directs chemicals to the cut surface during mowing thus eliminating the need for a separate application. Applying chemical only to cut plants reduces the likelihood of herbicide movement compared to broadcast application"

This is a slideshow presentation that Dr. Shawn Askew produced that has been converted to a downloadable .PDF

The slideshow reveals much of the research that Dr. Shawn Askew has conducted and shows in great detail just how effective the Wet Blade mowing system is at controlling growth, and invasive species.
